Hall Facilities

The Hall is used by a variety of Village organisations on a regular basis including the Under 5s, Carpet Bowls, Women's Institute, Badminton and the Evergreens, but it is available for hire. The Hall is a large space and has been used for a number of functions including Barn Dances, the Old Newton Christmas Fair, Discos and Quiz Nights. 

The Main Hall has an area of 16.1m x 9.3m (including the stage) or 13.75m x 9.3m excluding the stage. The Main Hall can hold approx. 200 people standing or approx. 100 dining at tables. 

From within the Main Hall there is access to the kitchen via a large serving hatch allowing teas / coffees or meals to be served directly into the Hall. 

Access to the bar area is via the Woodward Room so please be aware that Weekend Hires of the Main Hall include access to both the Main Hall and the Woodward Room..

The Village Hall has accessible toilets.

The space is flexible and we'd be happy to talk to you about your intended use of the Hall.

The Woodward Room can be hired alongside the Main Hall or on its own other than at Weekends when both spaces must be hired.

The Woodward Room has the capacity to seat approx. 36 in Conference Style or 24 at tables. The total area of the Woodward Room is 7.3m x 5m.

From within the Woodward Room there is access to the kitchen via a large serving hatch allowing teas / coffees or meals to be served directly into the Room. 

There is also access to the Bar from the Woodward Room.

Old Newton Village Hall has a large Car Park and also benefits from the ability to open an Overflow Car Park if necessary. If you feel that you will need access to the Overflow Car Park then please let the Booking Clerk know so we can arrange for the barrier to be opened.
